Associate Pastor Lavern Augustus
Minister Lavern Augustus serves as Associate Pastor at Grace New Life Center (GNLC) COGOP, where she is committed to advancing the mission of the ministry through preaching, teaching, outreach, and evangelism. Her journey with God began at a young age. After a period of falling away, she experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ in her early twenties, which marked the beginning of her ministry. From that point forward, she intentionally cultivated her relationship with God through consistent study of the Word, fasting, and prayer—spiritual disciplines that continue to shape her life and leadership today.
Minister Augustus began her ministry serving as a youth life team leader and has since led and supported various ministries within her local church. Her service has included roles as a pastoral director and active involvement in the evangelism department within her parish.She credits her spiritual foundation to the time she spent with her grandparents—especially her grandfather, whose deep commitment to prayer and love for God helped shape her faith. His example inspired her early dedication to a life grounded in Scripture and sustained through prayer and fasting.Over the years, she has developed a strong passion for serving families, youth, and the broader community through evangelism and outreach. She is deeply committed to helping others grow in their relationship with God and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.
Minister Augustus holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and has extensive experience working in child welfare. Her professional background, combined with her training in leadership development and counseling, equips her to minister with compassion, wisdom, and practical insight to individuals and families facing real-life challenges.
She has been married for nearly 30 years and is blessed with four children, three beautiful grandchildren, and a wonderful son-in-law. Her family remains a vital and cherished part of her life and ministry.

Associate Pastor Douglas Clarke
Dr. Douglas Clarke serves as Associate Pastor at Grace New Life Church, bringing a lifelong passion for God, His Word, and the spiritual growth of God’s people. Called to ministry of service from a tender age, Minister Clarke has always known that God’s hand was upon his life. He often reflects on the truth that God demonstrated His love for him “in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,” a conviction that continues to shape his heart for service and discipleship.
Minister Clarke is deeply committed to the fellowship of the community of faith and finds joy in walking alongside believers as they grow to become more like Jesus Christ. His ministry is marked by a love for teaching, a dedication to biblical truth, and a desire to see lives transformed through the power of the gospel.
Academically accomplished, Minister Clarke holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, a Master’s degree in Technology from the New York Institute of Technology, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the University of the West Indies, and a Diploma in Education from Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College. He has also completed several courses in biblical studies through Dallas Theological Seminary and BTI, strengthening his foundation for teaching and ministry.
Minister Clarke is joyfully married to Marva, and together they are the proud parents of two daughters, G’tanya and G’nelle. His family remains one of his greatest blessings and a continual source of encouragement in his calling.
With a heart for discipleship and a passion for helping others grow in Christ, Minister Clarke continues to serve GNLC with humility, excellence, and unwavering faith.
